Outback Odyssey

Jimmy Brown, eighteen and fresh out of an orphanage at Outlane in Yorkshire, sails to Australia in the 1950s through the Big Brother Movement and is sent to a sheep station in Victoria. There the station's Aboriginal overseer, its young owner and a legend of stolen gold change everything he thought he knew about the country. Part One draws on the author's own father's migration from Yorkshire.
